"Leon Greening ... epitomises the assured confidence of a new generation." Jazz Journal

Pianist Leon Greening's hard swinging style has made him a favourite on the jazz scene for over a decade, and makes no apologies for his adoration of the great bebop pianists, with Wynton Kelly, Bobby Timmons and Bud Powell among his primary influences. Award winning bassist Adam King, who has just won the Worshipful Company of Musicians "Young Jazz Musician" competition) is new to the scene but has already made his mark, playing with Julian Joseph live on BBC Radio 3, Pete King, the late Stan Tracey and Gilad Atzmon, among others. Drummer Steve Brown will need no introduction, being in Scott Hamilton's Quartet, and regularly seen alongside Alan Barnes, Dave Newton and Barry Harris.
Together they'll be playing arrangements from their latest CD, "Cookin' in Brooklyn".

BopFest! is a new jazz festival running from November 17th to 22nd 2015 during the EFG London Jazz Festival, featuring a week of the best of British bebop and straight ahead jazz, hosted in the beautiful Victorian wood-panelled music room at The Elgin in Ladbroke Grove, central London. The venue features a Yamaha grand piano and sound system, with cabaret style seating in front of the stage, with a capacity for 80 people. Food - The Elgin has an excellent kitchen - and drinks are available during the music.
