Joe Allen, the iconic theatre restaurant and original American brassiere in Covent Garden are starting a new bi-monthly intimate comedy evening on Tuesday 3rd November.

Featuring some of the best comedy talent on today’s circuit, Joe Allen will be combining their famously secretive burger menu with the biggest laughs in London to make a fabulous evening of food and fun, all for the laughingly low price of £25.

With diners able to choose to eat either before or after the performances, the inaugural evening starts at 9pm in the private Dining Room with host Susan Murray taking care of the MC duties.

Emerging as one of the best female stand-ups in the UK over the past few years, Susan has written for the likes of Radio 4 and 8 Out Of 10 Cats and regularly contributes to various radio comedy podcasts alongside running two successful comedy clubs in East London.

Headlining the bill is comedy legend Richard Herring who first came to everyone’s attention in the 1990’s with his double act with Stewart Lee, alongside TV shows such as Fist Of Fun and This Morning With Richard Not Judy. Nowadays he is busy winning Sony and Chortle Awards for his podcasts from Leicester Square Theatre alongside appearances on Have I Got News For You? and writing his weekly column in the Metro.

Star of Channel 4's Cucumber/Banana/Tofu trilogy, Bethany Black has been described as a “genius” by Matt Lucas and “dark tinged, but magical” by the Guardian. She has performed alongside some of the biggest names in the business, and her first show ‘Beth Becomes Her’ was nominated for the Leicester Comedy Festival Award for Best Newcomer. Often credited as "Britain's only trans goth lesbian stand-up comedian", her darkly confessional stories will have you on the edge of your seat.

Usually found to be script-editing and directing for the likes of Eddie Izzard, Josh Widdiccombe, Seann Walsh and Michael McIntyre, John Gordillo will be front and centre at Joe Allen. “He’s a spectacularly creative comic, offering sets that use politics, romance and family relationships as jumping-off points for wildly ambitious social theorising and sparklily funny comedy’” (The Guardian).
