On behalf of Solace Women's Aid, Sounds of Solace presents Rock Against Violence (RAV). Born four years ago, RAV started as a small scale live music gig helping to raise awareness around domestic and sexual violence. Since then the event has gone from strength to strength and for the last three years has been held at the O2 Academy Islington. This year, four immensely talented bands show their support: We Used To Make Things; an 8 piece North London rock band with big harmonies and impressive vocals. Cable Street Collective, who mix African influences with UK funky house dance beats. Model Village, a folksy pop band from London and Cambridge will perform as well as Landshapes; a unique band combining heavy bass lines, layered harmonies and stomping percussion.
