NO-ONE does a class like this....yes it is possible to have some fun and connection in yoga classes, to meet people and have a sense of unity that includes those around you rather than the usual isolationist approach of most classes!

This unique event features CYL's connection yoga, partner exercises, meditation and deep relaxation, all followed by a social.

Yoga is all about being whole, and being at 'One' with the world around you; well last time we checked other human beings were part of nature to, so connecting with others is an area we need to work on!

Class focuses on connecting people together through one of many levels:

1) It's social context tends to make people more open to connect.

2) Prior to class we get people connecting about common human 'themes'. e.g do you think you have a soul? what is love? what's the best day you've ever had? what are planning on doing this summer?

3) Classes can include some partner yoga and humandala yoga

4) Then we go to the pub for an (optional) social.

The class is completed with an immense deep relaxation and you'll be amazed how easy you find it to talk to other after practicing, the type of yoga we teach in this class opens you up and relaxes you, so you feel a common connection with those around you.

People make new friends and build community in this class.

We're obviously also here to teach and support you in learning how to manage stress, how to relax and to understand how the stress of urban living can affect your body.

Brave Soul?

Our usual idea of relaxation usually still involves stimulus which significantly activates the nervous system. Sitting in front of TV with chocolate and a glass of red just trances you out and numbs the messages from the body - you don't really know how still your mind is when you are in a trance, it takes a much braver Soul to truly sit in the silence that you help cultivate through yoga!
