In March 2015 Laugh Out Loud For Lively Minds held their debut sold out comedy night. It was a huge success, a riot of fun and all proceeds went to our inspiring charity. Now we are very excited to announce our second Laugh Out Loud for Lively Minds event, at London’s legendary The Comedy Store.

Sara Pascoe
Sara has performed on a host of shows such as Mock The Week, The Thick of It, W1A as well as Live at The Apollo. “Smart, funny… Sara Pascoe is at the forefront of the London’s new wave of comedy” Evening Standard

Katherine Ryan
Catch the wonderful 8 out of 10 Cats and Have I Got News For You star and Funny Women award winner, who’s Edinburgh Fringe Show, was the first to sell out this year.

Shaun Keaveny
The wittiest man on the breakfast show airwaves, BBC 6 Music’s beloved presenter Shaun performs his stand up show, (when does this man sleep?!)

Brett Goldstein
Known for his Scenes of an Adult Nature that “had the crowd laughing all the way” (USA Weekly News), Goldstein is also a movie superhero aka SuperBob.

Jasper Cromwell Jones
Joe Bor is an award-winning comedian and warm-up for The Graham Norton Show and Mock The Week, who now plays a hapless climber, upper class adventurer, Jasper Cromwell Jones.

Tom Allen
Our host and MC for the evening supported Sarah Millican on her sold out UK tour, and also had a recent stint on the dictionary corner of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. “One of the funniest acts on the circuit...he has continued to storm every gig he does”. GQ Magazine

Lively minds is an award-winning charity working to improve the lives of young children in deprived communities in rural Ghana & Uganda. We do not provide aid. Rather we train vulnerable, and often uneducated mothers, to run their own educational play schemes. The play schemes reach young children at a crucial stage in their development, improving their education, health and wellbeing. Running the Schemes transforms the mothers too – giving them childcare skills, confidence and the support of others. Funds raised from our first LOL comedy night were able to set up 2 new play Schemes. We trained 72 mothers to run the Schemes and over 350 children now benefit each week. This second event will raise money to help us create thousands more lively minds.

All the comedians and volunteers organising this event have donated their time for free.

All proceeds go to Lively Minds – empowering communities through play.
