Fighting poverty is big business, but who profits the most?
Poverty, Inc. explores the hidden side of doing good. From disaster relief to TOMs Shoes, from adoptions to agricultural subsidies, we follow the butterfly effect of our most well-intentioned efforts and pull back the curtain on the poverty industrial complex.

Drawing from over 200 interviews filmed in 20 countries, Poverty, Inc. unearths an uncomfortable side of charity we are all too tempted to ignore. The film challenges each of us to ask the tough question: are we catalyzing development or are we propagating a system in which the poor stay poor while the rich get hipper?
Could we be part of the problem?

"This documentary does not pull at one's heart-strings, it is not beautifully tragic. It is simply informative. It is this simplicity that makes it so powerful." Caroline Bailey
"It's a culture shifting documentary" Mark Weber
"It is a provocative film. - Todd Belcore
