A night of spoken word all written and performed by females!
For Books' Sake present a night of spoken word entirely written and performed by women! By welcoming a wide range of speakers and topics, from slam poetry to storytelling, contemporary political thought to comedy, we bring women's voices to the forefront, while at the same time giving a platform to writers and performers we love.
Featuring Zoe Howe, an acclaimed music writer whose books include Barbed Wire Kisses:The Jesus and Mary Chain Story, Wilko Johnson - Looking Back At Me, Stevie Nicks:Visions, Dreams and Rumours and Typical Girls? Plus Sarah Sheldon a London-based writer and Lydia Hirst comedian, writer, performance and cabaret artist.
If you want to apply for an open mic slot, please email [email protected].
For Books' Sake is a volunteer led, charitable organisation so all your pennies will be going back into championing women writers!
