St John’s Smith Square will resound to the romantic music of Chopin as British pianist, Warren Mailley-Smith presents the fourth of eleven concerts in which he will perform all Chopin’s 200+ piano solo works, from memory.

Glowing reviews said: ' ... here is a very fine Chopin interpreter indeed ... formidable technique ... breathtaking command of dynamic gradations ... wholly exceptional ... This quite memorable recital was justly rewarded with a spontaneous standing ovation.' - Classical Source; 'Stunning' - Classic FM and 'The embodiment of the modern Romantic Concert pianist’ - Musical Opinion. This outstanding pianist is a favourite with London audiences and venues alike. Warren Mailley-Smith has played for the British Royal Family on many occasions and has given acclaimed solo recitals at Carnegie and Wigmore Halls as well as performing with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

This evening's concert will start with the sparkling but much neglected Introduction and Rondo. The second half includes the Op. 28 Preludes which represent one of the most important collections of pieces by any composer in the romantic period. Liszt said "Chopin's Preludes are compositions of an order entirely apart .. analogous to those of a great contemporary poet, who cradles the soul in golden dreams..."

Close to the hustle and bustle of Westminster, the church of St John’s Smith Square offers visitors a unique concert experience. It is the only Baroque concert hall in the UK, with its history, superb acoustic, beautiful interior and the convenience of its own cafe and restaurant in the crypt offering concert goers maximum convenience for the perfect evening out.

So come and indulge yourself with a spectacular evening of uplifting music at St John's Smith Square, performed by this exceptionally talented British pianist.
