Following the recent release of the band's second album MISS WORLD produced by the legendary Mike Bennett (The Fall, Ian Brown, Trojan Records) Alberteen now announce a rare London date at Earl Haig Hall.

Alberteen have been critically acclaimed for their 21st Century post-punk sonics, instantly addictive tunes and brutal, poetic lyrics.

With a Professor of English on vocals and a circus director on bass, Alberteen is no ordinary band. Championed by Mark Radcliffe, Liz Kershaw and Tom Robinson (who discovered the band), Alberteen came to prominence with their debut album Metal Book in 2012, which led to the single A Girl and a Gun being playlisted on BBC6, with a remix from Cornershop and a BBC6 session following, and 4 star reviews in the Independent and Uncut Magazine, with Louder Than War awarding 5 stars and hailing the album 'a work of genius'. Single Phil Shaw also wrote the best-selling 33/3 book on Patti Smith's HORSES.

Alberteen recently played Rough Trade for the album's launch, as well as a seaside tour of the southeast coast with sold out gigs in such far off places at Dungeness (under the shadow of a nuclear power station) and at the iconic Ramsgate Music Hall. The band also has a free ALBERTEEN - MISS WORLD app for Android and iPhone - featuring streams of the entire album alongside specially commissioned images, lyrics and the stories behind the songs.

Support comes from Canadian alt-folk band That Hillbilly Palace, and the instrumental Bad Seeds-esque minimalism of the brilliant Little Sparta.
