This four-session course will cover the skills and techniques needed to create an effective script for the screen, paying particular attention to feature films.

Over the duration of the course students will be encouraged to practise their own writing that will be discussed in a group environment. The course is structured to reflect the scriptwriting process, starting with the initial ideas right through to writing scenes and dialogues. You will leave the course with at least two feature film ideas and short film ideas, plus the know how in approaching the first draft.

The course will also cover what to do with the script when finished, including packaging, marketing and selling the script. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

The workshop will be run by Lyndon Ives.

Lyndon Ives has delivered practical film courses within and outside London for over thirteen years. As a filmmaker Lyndon has produced three internationally distributed short films, countless promos, and is in the process of developing several feature films. Lyndon is delighted to bring his well-regarded workshops to I’klectik. You can find out more about Lyndon and the course he delivers here: www.lyndonives.com
