Archaeologist and journalist Michael Pitts will be visiting The National Archives to give a fascinating talk on his latest book Digging for Richard III: How Archaeology Found the King.
Richard III reigned for a little over two years. It took five months longer than that for his excavated bones to be reburied.
Mike Pitts has edited British Archaeology for over ten years and in his new book, looks at what we have learned in this extraordinary period about Richard III, about archaeology, and about us.
This talk is part of the Richmond upon Thames Literary Festival, which takes place between 6 and 27 November.
The 2015 Writer of the Month series of talks is sponsored by History Today.
