American stand up comedian, actress and now talk show host Margaret Cho returns to the UK for a string of London shows from 16th – 20th December at the Leicester Square Theatre as part of her worldwide ‘PsyCHO’ tour. Her new show takes in singlehood to Boko Haram to Bruce Jenner’s transition to female empowerment; Margaret tackles difficult subjects with sensitivity and razor sharp insight. A pioneer amongst women in comedy, Margaret doesn’t take anything for granted. Her show also includes tributes to her “father and mother in comedy” Robin Williams and Joan Rivers, who passed away within a month of one another. Margaret was very close to both of them; her friendship with Robin encouraged her to start the #BeRobin campaign to raise awareness and funds for the homeless community. Her friendship with Joan reinforced Margaret’s desire to remain fearless. This year ‘PsyCHO’ was filmed at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre for a concert special.

An accomplished performer in all formats, Margaret Cho could be called the “Queen of all Media” having conquered the worlds of film, television, books, music and theatre. She has three Grammy Award and one Emmy nomination under her belt (for her hilarious stint on as gender-bending North Korean leader Kim Jong Il alongside Tina Fey), and continues her pursuit of all things creative. Never one to shy away from a difficult, or even 'taboo' topic, her socially aware brand of comedy has made her both a thought leader as well as a teacher to those with open minds and open hearts. Equally as important as her art is the causes she is passionate about. Margaret is widely recognized for her charitable work with gay rights, anti-bullying campaigns and the homeless community. In every segment of her life, Margaret is honest, forthright, passionate, uproarious and always entertaining.

She has made an indelible mark in television, starting in 1994 with the network comedy All American Girl, followed by one of the first “reality sitcoms” to air on VH1, The Cho Show, and spent six seasons on the Lifetime series’ Drop Dead Diva’.

As one of the hosts of All About SEX, TLC's late night talk show, Margaret covered alternative sexuality for the show, bringing her fearless brand of humour and frank talk to late night. Margaret’s film and DVD releases of her shows have broken records, with ‘I'm The One That I Want’ still holding the title for ‘Most Money Grossed Per Print’ for an independent film. Her other releases, which Cho fans collect and swap with zeal, include Notorious C.H.O (2001), Assassin (2005), (2003), Beautiful (2009) and Cho Dependent (2011).
