Make the most of the Lord Mayor’s Show taking place on 14 November and explore London with MBNA Thames Clippers (thamesclippers.com). A River Roamer ticket allows visitors to be immersed in the celebration of London and ensure they don’t miss any of this week’s celebration of the 800th Lord’s Mayor’s Show.

The show begins with the Lord Mayor’s journey through Tower Bridge to the City in a flotilla made up of traditional Thames barges and small boats followed by the Lord Mayor’s Procession. 7,000 participants, 20 bands, horses, carriages, vintages cars, fire engine and helicopters, to name a few and will run from Mansion House to the Victoria Embankment. The day’s events are rounded off with a stunning firework display above the Thames.

Alight MBNA Thames Clippers either at Bankside or London Bridge City pier to get involved with the extraordinary main event, the Lord Mayor’s Procession, which begins at 11.00am. MBNA Thames Clippers will have a float in the parade for the first time, in conjunction with The Company of Watermen and Lightermen and Royal Museums Greenwich. The float will feature Samuel Pepys and celebrate centuries of travelling by river to Greenwich.

Enjoy the perks of the River Roamer ticket throughout the afternoon and hop on and off the boats, making the most of London’s attractions along the river. There are also guided walks throughout the City of London from guest lecturers which are free for the day.

The finale is an impressive fireworks display over the Thames, get the best view of the show and disembark at Embankment or Waterloo pier. The show is at 17.15, allow plenty of time to get a good spot as there will be a short river closure for the fireworks.
