Creative Canal Culture!

Running alongside the Museum, the Regent’s Canal played a very important role in the workings of the Victorian East End. Discover the people, animals and vehicles that spent their days living and working alongside our 19th century warehouse buildings, before Dr Barnardo took it over for his Ragged School. Learn to paint in the narrowboat style, create your own canal keepsakes to take home, and much more!

This February Half Term, come and join the Ragged School Museum to explore Victorian life on the Regent’s Canal!

We’ll have an assortment of crafty and arty activities on offer for families, plus our Victorian Classroom and Victorian Kitchen will be open for you to explore along with the rest of our 19th century poor school. And of course, the Towpath Café will be open for the parched grown-ups!
