Gabrieli Roar: five outstanding youth choirs singing side-by-side with the award-winning Gabrieli Consort, in a roof-raising performance of English choral masterpieces. Under 16s go FREE!

For over 30 years Paul McCreesh and Gabrieli have surprised, challenged and inspired audiences with their bold choral and orchestral performances, and award-winning recordings.

This February, our flagship education scheme, Gabrieli Roar, comes to London’s stunning Southwark Cathedral with a launch concert featuring a massed choir of around 150 voices, drawn from five outstanding youth choirs, singing side-by-side with the professional singers of the Gabrieli Consort, conducted by Paul McCreesh. The programme celebrates great British choral music and features Elgar, Wesley, Howells, Byrd and many more.

Paul McCreesh and Gabrieli firmly believe that great choral music belongs to us all, young and old. As part of our commitment to this, everyone under 16 goes free!

Featuring our partner choirs: London Youth Choir, Diocese of Leeds Music (Bradford Catholic Youth Choir), Cantate, Taplow Youth Choir, Hertfordshire County Youth Choir

“All ages, joyful, uninhibited yet unanimous, they carry all before them. Has unison singing everbeen so thrilling?”
