Stefan Bednarczyk

Following his acclaimed solo shows of Noel Coward and Flanders & Swann, Stefan returns to The Crazy Coqs to perform the première of his new show, Beyond a Joke.

He now focuses on the rest of his education, and on the sometimes unlikely bedfellows who nestled alongside Coward and F & S in the all-embracing "Humour" section of his local record shop in the 1970's. Jake Thackeray, Allan Sherman, Tom Lehrer and Paddy Roberts are among the songwriters whose work he revives, showing how - along with the jokes and the brilliance of the writing - their parodies and satire remain as incisive, hilarious and sometimes as painfully relevant today.
