A warm film that tells the true story of a group of gay activists who came together to support the striking Welsh coal miners in Thatcher’s Britain of the 1980’s. The BAFTA-winning film immortalisesthe campaign by ‘Lesbians and Gays Support The Miners’ who raised over £22,000 for the impoverished Welsh mining community of Dulais. But the London-based LGBT group and the Miner’s Union were not always an easy mix. A multi-award-winning film, also nominated for a Golden Globe and winner of Best British Independent Film, Best Supporting Actress for Imelda Staunton & Best Supporting Actor for Andrew Scott,2014 British Independent Film Awards.
