The Affordable Art Fair, which brings over 100 contemporary art galleries together under one roof, gives serious collectors and first time buyers alike the opportunity to browse an eclectic mix of original artworks from over 1,100 living artists. Visitors will also have the opportunity to try out and develop their own artistic skills by taking part in a series of workshops, talks and tours.

There will be activities for children, but also for adults looking to engage their creative sides. Amongst the treats on offer will be workshops inspired by artist Alexander Calder, as well as the opportunity to try drypoint printmaking, a perennial favourite of visitors to the fair. In addition South London Art Maps will be giving a talk on emerging artists.

For those looking to take their newly learnt skill from the workshops on beyond the fair, prestigious art school Central St Martins will be on hand with information about their Short Courses as will fine art suppliers Cowling & Wilcox.

Art at the fair is priced between £100 - £5,000, making it the ideal place to invest in up-and-coming artists, or source gems from well-known names. And, with a wrapping station on site, visitors can browse, buy and take home artworks on the same day.

For the first time ever the fair will be launching a new initiative, Platform Projects. A series of installations where emerging talent meet mid-career artists, creating large scale installation spaces in the very heart of the fair and also on the fairs approaches through Battersea Park.

The series is an extension of the Project Space Collective that has taken place at the previous two editions of the Affordable Art Fair Spring Collection, encouraging the audience to engage with conceptually led practice a t the forefront of the UK art scene.
