Film buffs rejoice, for Oval Space Cinema is back in February with cult film The Thing by John Carpenter.

The year is 1982. A twelve-man research team at a remote Antarctic research station discovers an alien buried in the snow for over 100,000 years. Soon unfrozen, the form-changing alien wreaks havoc, creates terror and becomes one of them. A timeless classic, The Thing is widely considered to be one of the best horror films ever made. We'll do it justice by showing the high definition version of the film.

This sci-fi, horror movie still inspires filmmakers more than thirty years after its release. Quentin Tarantino's new film The Hateful Eight is the latest film to refer to The Thing. Both films not only share the same main actor Kurt Russell but also share some of their original soundtrack by Ennio Morrico.

Food and drinks available. Details will be announced soon. Doors open at 7.15pm. Film starts at 7.45pm.

Synopsis: Its the first week of winter in 1982. An American Research Base is greeted by an alien force, that can assimilate anything it touches. Its up to the members to stay alive, and be sure of who is human, and who has become one of the Things.
