Featuring Jonny Fluffypunk and Mel Nyoko, plus the open mic poetry slam, hosted by Sam Berkson, Richard Purnell and Lydia Beardmore.
The best in live poetry brought to you by the biggest network of slam nights in the UK. This month we feature legendary 'stand-up poet and sustainable nihilist', Jonny Fluffypunk and Congolese-born, London poet Mell Nyoko.
Equally at home on cabaret, poetry and alternative comedy stages, Jonny Fluffypunk has charmed audiences for many years with his unique blend of poems; songlets; surreal banter; off-kilter observation and bitter autobiography.
Mell Nyoko has performed all over the UK sharing her materials on social, cultural and personal issues. Born in Kinshasa and raised in London, she uses her love of poetry and words to campaign against the minerals conflict in the DRC and raises public awareness of the situation in the country. Mell is also the founder of Umoja Expressions which is the voice of the African woman through poetry and art on household merchandise.
