This is a letter to our children’s children.
We love you and we’re sorry.
We’re not sure what we’ve built but you might have to start again.
It’s undeniable. The future is coming. Red lines on graphs and water levels are rising and smart blue screens are getting smarter by the second. The big cars with tinted windows are driving past tired people walking along the roadside. The supersize bite of progress doesn’t taste quite the same as it did before.
This is not a drill takes us on a journey across Outer and Inner Space, cyber landscapes and the kitchen floor. The international ensemble of actors brings vividly to life the struggle to think about what’s ahead when social conditioning has us checking our phones in the face of crisis. The result is darkly funny, highly theatrical, intelligent and surprising.
