“A band should start a comback only, if they can perform bigger and more sophisticated as they were. Pavlov's Dog did this terrificly successful.“ (Eclipsed voted Echo and Boo #13 of most important releases 2010)

“The whole band is absolutely thrilling. The musicainship is stunning, the passion involved in each note is astounding, and everyone is left at the end of the night with the priceless feeling of having whitnessed one of those rare gigs that will remain long in the memory.“ (Prog Magazine UK, 9/2012)

“I had to wait 30 years to see Pavlov's Dog live. And it was better than everything I saw this year. David Surkamp's voice is still great. The audience was freaking out. 150 minutes goose skin and pure fun playing. Who can beat this?“ (Breakout Magazine, 4/2009)

If a band deseves to be referenced as „unique“, the US ProgRock phenomen Pavlov's Dog fits the bill. Founded in 1973 by former Chuck Berry drummer Mike Safron, it's David Surkamp's incredible vocal performance that brands the singularity of Pavlov's Dog. When Pavlov’s Dog signed its initial recording contract with ABC Records in 1974 for the unheard figure of $ 500.000,- they were the highest signed newcomer band ever since.

Pavlov's Dog's 1975 debut album Pampered Menial is a milestone in Rock History and was voted by Mojo Magazine into the Top 100 of the most important Prog-Rock releases of all times (# 27.). An extraordinary lineup (with violin, piano and mellotron) ties up with David Surkamp's hightuned falsetto voice – a highly affecting sound like coming from another world. The music scene back in 1975 was thrilled. Members of Yes, King Crimson, Roxy Music a.o. contributed to their 2nd album At The Sound Of The Bell.
