Movement Workshop Series led by artist Florence Peake at SPACE Mare Street on Sat 9, 16, 23 & 30 April, 2 - 5pm. No prior dance or art experience required.

Drawing on somatic dance practices including contact improvisation, Skinner Releasing Technique and Peake's own art and dance background this series of workshops delve into the creative potential of movement, as well as its relationship to voice.
Incorporating writing, drawing, voice and movement these exploratory and playful sessions will include invited expert guests and are open to all.
No prior dance or art experience required.
Tickets are available for all 4 sessions, but it will also be possible to drop into individual sessions on the day if space is available. Tickets for these will be £15 on the door.

Florence Peake is a London-based artist and choreographer. With extensive training in dance and a background in painting, her performance practice combines a variety of media—from drawing to sculpture—in relationship to the moving body. Site and audience, live and recorded text, wit and humour are key to her work.
