British Basketball is preparing itself for one of the biggest days in its illustrious history as the 2016 BBL and WBBL Play-Off Finals are to be held on Sunday 8th May 2016 at The O2, London.

In what promises to be a landmark day for the sport in the UK, we want you to be part of a record breaking 17,000 crowd for UK Basketball who are expected to make up the biggest ever crowd to watch a British Basketball game.

Two of the top tier BBL and WBBL teams will battle it out for the final piece of silverware of both seasons and this will provide a thrilling climax to an already dramatic season of basketball action.

We're also delighted to be staging the Hoops Aid celebrity charity game for a second year running. Last year's Hoops Aid at the Play-Off Final provided an exhilarating game of entertainment featuring a-list celebrities all playing for a tremendous and important cause.

Hoops Aid will be raising money for Sports Traider, a charity arm in aid of creating sporting opportunities for disabled and disadvantaged children.

Confirmed so far to appear are football personality Adebayo Akinfenwa, current MK Dons striker Jay Emmanuel Thomas, Dan Osbourne of TOWIE, BBC Breakfast presenter Mike Bushell, Paralympic Gold Medalist Richard Whitehead MBE, ex Premiership referee Uriah Rennie, and actor Colin Salmon of the James Bond films with many more names still to be added.

Add in to the mix for entertainment, Britain's Got Talent finalists, the dance troupe Flawless, the incredible BBL Dancers and the BBL dunking mascot and you have an event that will live long in the memory.
