An intimate, engaging celebration of the creative spirit, heart and soul of inner East London, this summer marks the exciting launch of the East London Fringe Festival.
Taking place across five weekends from 9th July to 7th August, the inaugural event is a physical manifestation of the area’s rich artistry, cultural diversity and bohemian beauty, where music, visual art, comedy and lifestyle will combine to present a diverse array of works and experiences drawn from East London’s thriving creative communities.

Presented in a stunning array of both rarely and never before used open-air locations across Shoreditch, including Shoreditch Park, Hoxton Square and Boxpark, the festival programme will also play host to indoor events within a number of the locale’s creative spaces and beloved venues such as Old Blue Last and Cargo.

The open air programme will be produced by Live Industry and curated by a range of both emerging and established brands and companies who operate within inner East London; from Hoxton Radio and Acoustic East to Visions Festival and house and techno purveyors Found Festival, who will kick off proceedings with a seasonal garden party in Hoxton Square.

Further confirmed partners include Dalston’s homegrown, multi-venue fest Land of Kings, creative underground collective Urban Nerds and their entertainment news platform Instagrime, street art tour guides Alternative London, plus esteemed local comedy projects Backyard Comedy Club and Comedy Club Theatre.

Managing Director Sam Speaight says of the festival: "East London's creative industries and arts communities stand at the forefront of global artistic movements and act as cultural leaders for millions of people around the globe. We're extremely excited to be able to present this amazing series of events to the people of London and we look forward to developing the festival into the capital's premier reference point for new creative movements in future years."

An ongoing effort to profile Shoreditch as London’s most vibrant cultural destination, with a focus on hand-crafted, pop-up events to showcase the area’s creative cream of the crop, East London Fringe Festival is set to take the capital’s summer calendar by storm. Watch this space for further curator and event announcements over the coming weeks.
