St George is the patron saint of both England and Catalonia. For this reason, on Sunday 24th April we will be celebrating at Borough Market a feast that will bring together the best Catalan and English food, music, theatre, dance and storytelling.

While the Borough Market traders will be selling both Catalan and English food, different performances will be taking place at the stage located at the core of the market. Visitors will get a taste of English folk and sardanes dances -a circle dance typical of Catalonia-, and they will enjoy the Catalan human towers by Castellers of London. For the little ones, Escola Catalana (“Catalan School”) will offer an arts and crafts workshop as well as some storytelling of the legend of St George and the dragon.

In addition, the romantic Catalan custom of exchanging roses and books with the beloved ones will be one of the attractions of the Catalan stands at Borough Market.
