From Wednesday 6th April, the Bargehouse at Oxo Tower will be holding a brand new exhibition to celebrate free public events in London and across the UK. Titled Free: Celebrating Free Events For All, the multimedia exhibition, hosted by Eventbrite, will highlight the important role free events play in providing access to cultural experiences for everyone, alongside having a unifying effect on communities, large and small.
The exhibition will include over 200 pieces of rarely seen photography, audio, video and posters that commemorate the history of free events: from Carnival to Castlemorton, Pride, the early free concerts including the Stones and Pink Floyd in Hyde Park, David Bowie in Beckenham and other iconic moments in national cultural life.
The exhibition has been curated by Alice Milford-Scott, who has worked with community events for the past 20 years.

The multimedia exhibition will celebrate 50 years of free events; from raves and festivals to street parties, carnivals and fireworks.
