With the release of Hamen (Mushroom Pillow, 2015), it may finally be time to remove the label of "promising" and start referring to the quartet from Mungia as one of the most solid realities in Spain's rock scene. How long have we been saying that they are one of the up-and-coming music projects that will lead the way for the nation's music?

Since their debut album Eurie (2013), and especially throughout 2014 (and not just because of the release of AAAA!!! and Bele beltzak baino ez, but particularly because of their concerts, their successful performances at festivals such as BBK Live and Low, or the hundreds of concerts at music venues), each step they have taken has been a constant test in which they have proven that youth does not go against robustness.

The future that we referred to in 2014 has arrived. Towards the end of 2015, the band that has created the most buzz and on which the most hope has been placed in recent years released their latest and highly anticipated full album, once again making it clear that they are immune to pressure because they were born ready for this. They also have a unique way of composing music, going back and forth between post-punk (muscular and dense, the shoegaze of charged atmospheres) and a taste for electronica without prejudices or presumptions. Their youth may have been their best ally: their fresh appearance, with no qualms or red lines, and getting swept away by what moves them.

Their purity is the type of attitude that has transformed Belako into who they are and what has made jaws drop at their concerts in the last two years. Only they can answer certain questions (How far will they go?), but we are certain that for now, it has been a pleasure to witness their birth and consolidation. It's always special to see how a star is born, and since it couldn't be any other way, Rock Sin Subtitulos wants to be there and watch them shine beyond borders.
