Barnes Children's Literature Festival

London’s largest dedicated book festival for children returns to Barnes Pond in south west London this May, with more than fifty fun events for children of all ages and their families.

Come and enjoy workshops and interactive events, musical extravaganzas, author talks and book signings; celebrate Roald Dahl's centenary, join in with some Horrible Science and meet your favourite children's book authors.

Some of the UK's top authors and illustrators appearing this year include bestselling author Jacqueline Wilson, Charlie and Lola creator Lauren Child, Costa Book Award winner Frances Hardinge, picture book star Emily Gravett, CBeebies' Cerrie Burnell, and Gruffalo illustrator Axel Scheffler, among many others!

Events take place throughout the weekend on and around the picturesque Barnes Pond, SW15.
