Grind. Toil. Graft. What is work in the 21st century?

We present 10 new pieces of writing exploring the dizzying highs and mind-numbing lows of work in modern society. From the glass ceiling to the zero hour, join us as we try to work out what we get up for in the morning.

In celebration of long-forgotten Labour Day, Brave New Word presents an evening of handiwork and hilarity, this time hosted by Theatre N16 in Balham. As ever, there’ll be music, drinks and plenty of opportunity to meet your artistic match.

MAY DAY follows on from our past events: BRAVE NEW WORD at the Courtyard Theatre and INSTANT MATCH at the Proud Archivist. Join us at Theatre N16 on Friday 6th May, where our doors will be open from 6.30pm, ready for a 7.30pm start. Tickets cost £5.
