Once again Crouch End Open Studios brings a wealth of art to the doorstep of North London residents. This popular fixture continues to attract thousands of visitors each May and this year 32 selected artists are taking part in the usual array of venues, all walking distance from the Clocktower. Little Paris, Coffee Circus and Priory Park Cafe are again hosting work; other venues include Hornsey Town Hall and Harris and Hoole. Many artists are exhibiting in their own homes and studios to reveal the secrets of their working practice. Meeting the artist-maker and having the chance to chat about their work can be a unique and fascinating experience; uplifting and life-affirming for the public and artist alike. .

We are delighted to be back in our usual venue for the group show: The Original Gallery upstairs in Hornsey Library. Visit this 'taster' exhibition and appreciate the breadth of art that is on offer; with sculpture, prints, ceramics, painting and photography on show there is something for everyone to enjoy. Each participating artist has a work on display, so here you have the opportunity to discover your favourites and plan your studio visits.

Our artists vary from the emerging to the well-established, and share a huge amount of exhibiting experience. Between them they've participated in most prestigious British art awards including the BP Portrait Award, Threadneedle Prize, National Open Art Competition and the Jerwood Drawing Prize. They've shown in art fairs all over the world, and major venues such as The Royal Academy, The Royal Society of Portrait Painters and The Royal College of Art...but for this special weekend, you can see work hot off the press right here in N8!

There is also the chance to win an original piece of art in the raffle; view the prizes at the exhibition and buy a ticket. Tickets are also available at each of the venues.

As usual local businesses have been generous in their sponsorship with Kinleigh Folkard and Hayward, A View Opticians, and St James as main sponsors this year.
