Fairy tales and Folk stories have been shared through the generations; they stir our imaginations, ignite creativity and invoke emotions. From the joyful and light-hearted, to the ridiculous and even sinister world of the Grimm Brothers.

Unexpected Tales explores the light and shade of these stories, with some unexpected twists, told through the exciting and athletic genres of jazz dance and musical theatre. The Jazz Dance Company’s fantastic young talent and high energy performance combined with choreography from leading choreographers from stage and screen results in one night of dance magic for families and dance fans alike.

The company present work by leading choreographers from today’s dance and theatre scene, including: Kevan Allen (Kylie Minogue, Brit Awards), Ryan François (Strictly Come Dancing, So You Think You Can Dance), Carrie Anne Ingrouille (Zoonation, Street Dance 3D) Nikki Trow (The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent, Little Mix), all crafted into a dance spectacular by the company’s Artistic Director Robbie O’Reilly.
