Join us at Woodberry Wetlands as the sun rises up over the reed beds for a guided walk and breakfast in this diverse bird habitat to listen to the wildlife orchestra which has captivated generations.

Every year our towns and countryside begin to come alive as the annual spectacle of the Dawn Chorus reaches its crescendo. Migrant males returning to the UK and resident males will spend weeks singing their hearts out to defend a territory and attract the female of the species. With spring having sprung, the reserve has come to life with flowering plants and wildlife and this is a rare opportunity to experience the dawn chorus at the height of its glory amidst of our dense urban surrounds.

Everyone, from those with only a passing interest to keen birders alike, are in for a treat on this magical, musical tour led by our expert birdwatcher and listener. He will steer early-risers in the right direction in identifying the various species making their contribution to the morning’s soundtrack. You're likely to hear calls and birdsong from a wide range of species, including then Chaffinch, various Warblers & Wagtails, Coal and Long-Tailed tits, Chiffchaff, Blackcap and Lapwings who will be sure to be amongst the choir.

Although 5am might seem an early start, this birdsong at daybreak is a marvel of the natural world not to be missed. Following the walk and at the end of the concert, a light breakfast with hot drinks and juices will be served at the Coal House Café to help you warm up from the chill of the early morning air.
