Through this series of specialised workshops, you will learn to create a range of luxurious, safe and effective natural skin care products free from chemicals and synthetic substances in our beautiful Woodberry Wetlands setting. The key properties and benefits of a wide range of raw ingredients and essential oils along with contacts for top rated suppliers will be covered throughout and you will learn to adapt recipes to suit preferences and skin types. You will be shown how to package your products and understand natural preservation. Expert tutors will lead each workshop and be on hand with tips and advice and you will leave each course with the knowledge and confidence to practice each new discipline at home. All classes are suitable for beginners and students of any level and are designed to follow on from each other as well as stand alone as individual workshops.

Sunday 10th July - 1- SOAP & BATH BOMB WORKSHOP Following the melt & pour technique, your will learn to make handcrafted soap from start to finish during this workshop. An accurate recipe when measuring your main ingredients is crucial and you will be taught how to choose and blend other ingredients (essential oils, colours, herbs, clays, etc..) before preparing and pouring into moulds. You will make a minimum of 3 different soaps and bathbombs during the course using all natural, organic ingredients which will be ready for you decorate, cut and prepare for storage at the end of the class.

Sunday 17th July - PERFECT PERFUME MAKING This course will teach you how to make your own perfume using only be using high quality natural materials. The workshop will start with a session training your nose to sense smells like a professional as this important step before you start working with the subtleties of perfume. There will be loads of niche fragrances to smell for inspiration whilst you you learn about fragrance notes and families from the ‘olfactive’ chart. Perfume is described as having three sets of notes, making the harmonious scent ‘accord’. This workshop will reveal how a fragrance is blended with top, middle and base notes and how these unfold over time with the evaporation process. You will learn how to create accords with a palette of natural materials including precious oils of Rose, Jasmine and Neroli and then blend them into a finished fragrance. At the end of the course, you will take away a set of comprehensive resource materials, the confidence to take your learning further or experiment with perfume making at home and your very own fragrance in a 30ml atomiser bottle. All levels are welcome especially those with no prior fragrance experience. Just bring along a rested and refreshed nose as it will be doing lots of work!

Sunday 24th July - FACE & BODY BEAUTY PRODUCT WORKSHOP Learn the basics of making 100% homemade organic lotions, body butters, creams and scrubs from scratch using all natural plant oils, extracts and butters from an experienced natural cosmetics practitioner. During this workshop you will discover the properties of natural antioxidants and essential oils, be shown how to preserve, create emulsions and create recipes for different skin types. You will understand the health and safety issues related to production and will learn how to use colouring, combine scents and natural exfoliants. By the end of this workshop, using an array of fragrances, colourings and ingredients you will have made at least three different products to take home in custom packaging and will leave with the self-confidence to create many more.
