Ray and Davide - The Den at 100 Wardour St

Davide Mazzantini moved to London from Italy with his electric guitar in 2009. Soon he started to play in the house band of Ain’t Nothing But Blues Bar, the best blues venue in London, hosting the jam every Sunday and Monday with musicians Niall Kelly and Barry Jackson, a.k.a. Prof. Short Hair. He also joined guitarist and singer Sean Pregnolato in the Kingly All Stars, performing blues, funk and reggae tracks in many venues like Ain’t Nothing But, Charlotte Street, N19 and many festivals in the South England.

In 2012 he formed the Dust Me Down Blues Band with harmonica player and singer Ray Wallen, now resident band at Ain’t Nothing But and former band at the Swing Patrol (blues dance course). He plays occasionally with guitarist Teo Treska and has recently started working with Greg Miller (winner of the “Harmonica player of the year 2010” contest), with whom he formed a band with singer Loretta Johnson. With Greg, he also had the chance to star Brendan Power’s harp workshop as guitarist.

He has been working with Italian guitarist and singer Emanuele Fizzotti. Now he hosts Mondays blues jams at Ain’t Nothing But and still supports Barry Jackson on his Sunday jams, playing in the house band. He has also played in some of the best blues venues in London, such as Jazz After Dark and Harringay Arms.
