The Duchess of Canvey, Diane Chorley, returns: expect the disco that inspired her, the stories that shaped her and the songs 'what made her a star'.

From its soul-infused influences at The Goldmine nightclub in Canvey in the late seventies, to the iconic nightclubs of New York in the eighties, disco has always been the soundtrack to Diane's life. Following two pulsating, sell-out runs at Soho Theatre in 2015, the Duchess, her faithful boy Ron and her band The Buffet return to take you on a journey through her life - to a disco beat.

Diane Chorley is a singer, cabaret star and former owner of 1980's Essex hotspot The Flick. Following a stint in prison, she returned to the stage in 2015 joined by her partner Ron and a highly talented (if miserable) five-piece backing band, The Buffet. With a mix of original songs from her extensive and eclectic back catalogue; occasional covers and her distinctive storytelling and audience rapport, Diane's list of famous fans includes Stewart Lee. Her recent Christmas show run at Soho Theatre saw her collaborate with the likes of Sam Simmons, Le Gateau Chocolat, Jonny Woo and Bourgeois and Maurice.

'The Essex Cabaret queen… she's alluring, exciting, unique'
(The Times)

'A riot of a show… this is a party that you won't want to miss'
(Time Out)
