Research reveals dramatic differences in health between people of different countries and between citizens of the same country, even in the world’s wealthiest nations. What’s more these health inequalities defy all the usual explanations.

Conventional approaches have focussed on providing better access to technical medical solutions and tackling behaviours that cause ill health. Yet these remedies have proven to go only so far in resolving the issue.

Join Sir Michael Marmot, professor of epidemiology at University College London and president of the World Medical Association, to explore the evidence on how we can finally reduce this global ‘health gap’.

Open to everyone and appropriate for members of the general public, as well as those with a professional interest in health care, this fascinating evening is an opportunity to engage with one of the leading figures in the world of medicine tackling one of the biggest issues in global health.
