Join us as we hear from two gifted biographers about the art of life writing. A must for aspiring biographers as well as anyone interested in uncovering hidden stories.

Alexander Masters won the Guardian First Book Award and Whitbread Book of the Year 2005 in the Biography category for Stuart: A Life Backwards, also a Sunday Times bestseller. He also wrote The Genius in my Basement and his latest book A Life Discarded was inspired by a set of diaries found in a skip.

Juliet Nicolson is the author of A House Full of Daughters which traces seven generations of women in Juliet’s family. It scales the nineteenth-century slums of Malaga, the salons of fin-de-siècle Washington DC, an English boarding school during the Second World War, Chelsea in the 1960s and New York City hedonism in the 1980s. Already a respected historian, Juliet will treat us to a masterclass in life-writing.
