An evening of stand up comedy to create awareness about domestic abuse and raise funds for Solace Women’s Aid.

Over the span of two weeks, there are five nights with over 50 funny women helping to fundraise for Solace Women’s Aid. The charity exists to bring to an end the harm done through domestic and sexual violence to all survivors and in particular women and children. Their work is holistic, feminist and empowering, working alongside survivors to achieve independent lives free from abuse. Now in it’s 40th year, Solace is committee to continuous improvement to end abuse and violence.

On the 5th July 2016 at the Rah Rah room a fabulous and awesome selection of women will entertain the crowd and proving really that women can just be as funny as men!

Featuring;
Sadia Azmat

Since her solo show 'I Am Not Malala', Sadia has recorded a comedy short for BBC iPlayer 'Things I have been asked as a British Muslim' and appeared in online series 'Uncovered' for Bend It Like Beckham creator Gurinder Chadha. A totally unique and enthralling voice, her stand up tackles difficult subjects in an utterly charming manner.

She is currently the co-host of Sky's “DC Fancast” and “DC Fancast UNMASKED”, can be found on several seasons of CBBC's “The Dog Ate My Homework”, and performed her 2015 solo show, “Caught On Tape,” in Royal Albert Hall's Elgar Room.

Elf Lyons
Elf Lyons is a 24 year old stand-up comedian based in London. She loves creating work that is relevant, political and joyful and mixes her vulnerabilities, her niche interests and her sass to create fun, action packed quests for her and the audience, often resulting in a huge fun mess on stage.
