Sid Griffin is a roots musician of considerable stature and notoriety. Founder of the recently reunited Long Ryders back in 1980s’ Los Angeles he is without question one of the architects of Americana and Alt-country.

After relocating to Britain (London) in the 1990s Griffin formed The Coal Porters, an acoustic five piece who mix folk, country and bluegrass to considerable effect.

After a nine year wait between solo albums late 2014 witnessed the release of The Trick Is To Breathe, an album Uncut magazine declared American Album of the Month that November and which proudly resided on many year-end Best Of lists.

2016 sees Sid Griffin performing solo in the UK for the second time in a decade. A noted raconteur, an archetypal up-tempo Kentucky native, at home on 12-string guitar, mandolin or banjo, Sid Griffin is Exhibit A when it comes to Americana music!
