Pop up horticultural experience taking place in Nine Elms on the South Bank!

EcoWorld Ballymore is hosting 'Capture the Sun', as part of this year’s Chelsea Fringe. Embassy Gardens is a landmark mixed-use scheme which is set within the new Nine Elms Park, set to become a ribbon of landscaped green space running from Vauxhall to Battersea Park.

Embassy Gardens will play host to a family workshop with photographer Melanie King and artists Corinne Silva and Alice Cazenave. Attendees will have the opportunity to ‘Capture the Sun’ by creating a massive cyanotype print using sunlight and flowers from New Covent Garden Flower Market, an iconic feature of the local area.

The Chelsea Fringe festival takes over London from 21st May – 12th June. Now in its fifth year the festival is continuing to grow in popularity, offering an alternative garden festival which celebrates guerrilla gardens, community projects, large scale installations, performance art, food events, street happenings and performances.

Nine Elms on the South Bank is perfectly placed to play a key role in the Fringe as it is situated just over Chelsea Bridge, a few hundred metres from the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, and an area that is bursting with horticultural history and local landmarks including New Covent Garden Market, Battersea Park, Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens and numerous pocket parks. Embassy Gardens is a landmark development, which when complete will comprise approximately 2,000 new homes including al fresco spaces, shops, bars and restaurants.
