The unmistakable songs of Terence Blacker can take you to some unexpected places - the awkwardness of being English, the secrets of a suburban dad, the history of a dysfunctional upper-class family, the art of losing friends. Quirky, comical and affectionate, they have drawn comparisons to the work of Jake Thackray, Tom Lehrer and Georges Brassens.

Returning to Crazy Coqs, Terence Blacker will be playing new songs and old favourites in the musical company of jazz guitarist, David Brown.

Also well-known as an author and columnist, Blacker has performed his songs and festivals and venues across Europe, and wrote and presented Taboo-Be-Do!, a two-part documentary BBC Radio 4 on the history of politically incorrect music. His latest CD Sometimes Your Face Don't Fit was released earlier this year.
