During Mental Health Awareness Week 2016, City and Hackney MIND - a charity raising awareness and promoting understanding of mental health, is campaigning to help east Londoners, 'Take a Pause' by partnering with The Wellbeing Network and hosting a Wellbeing Event at Dalston Easton Curve Garden on Wednesday 18th May, 6pm - 8:30pm.
With one of the highest rates of people signed off from work due to stress, anxiety and depression, The Wellbeing Network enables Hackney & City residents to access free information, online resources and practical support such as mindfulness group sessions, therapeutic groups and mindful yoga. These sessions are geared to support them taking a pause in their everyday lives, and improve their mental wellbeing.
In its second year, City and Hackney MIND's Wellbeing Event invites up to 200 east Londoners to 'Take a Pause' in one of Dalston's beautiful hidden spots, the Eastern Curve's Garden.
Guests will be taken through mindfulness sessions, enjoy delicious wood-fired pizza and soft drinks, soothing flute and harp music from local artists and free complimentary therapies including massage and aromatherapy from the Shoreditch Spa and mindful yoga led by Hannah Goodman.
