Contrary to popular belief, his wild-fire success did not happen overnight. Jack started out rapping with crews from the Cape Flats and has been at it for more than 16 years.

In 2009 he released his first self-titled full length album. This album struck gold in South Africa within two weeks of its release and went platinum within a year. Since then he has headlined at major festivals in South Africa, performed in Russia, England, Dubai and toured Europe (with huge success in The Netherlands).

He has opened for rap legends Eminem and Snoop Lion when they toured South Africa.

Jack Parow's second full length album, Eksie Ou, was released in November 2011, under his own label,
Parowphernalia. This album reached Gold status in South African sales within four months of it's release. A highlight from Eksie Ou is that the first single, Hosh Tokolosh ft Gazelle, is the first Afrikaans song in the station's history to reach Number 1 on South Africa's most popular radio station 5FM's Top 40. The title-track,
Eksie Ou, went on to become Parow's second Number 1 on 5FM's Top 40.

He collaborated with Die Antwoord, Dirt Nasty, Francois van Coke (Fokofpolisiekar and Van Coke Kartel), Die Heuwels Fantasties and Dawid Kramer.
