In 1986, several dozen mountain climbers from all over the world met at K2, the second highest mountain on the planet. This season came to be known as the ‘Black Summer’ with 13 alpinists left dead.

Eliza, the director and an alpinist herself, together with an international group of grown-up children of acclaimed climbers, sets out on an expedition to K2 to face the past and to understand the force that once seduced their parents and eventually killed them. An emotional journey set against breath-taking views of Karakorum.

Followed by a Q&A with Lindsay and Chris Tullis (protagonists; children of Julie Tullis, the first British woman on K2, who died on K2 in 1986), and Monika Braid, producer
