The Art Conference will transform Bermondsey’s ‘Ugly Duck’ conference centre into an exploration and celebration of urban and public art, comprising film screenings, panel discussions, exhibitions and digital installations.
Attendees will be given the unique opportunity to experience the intersection and evolution of technology, art and culture via a program of international keynote speakers, each renowned for addressing, confronting and impacting social challenges through artistic expression.
Stories will be shared and new dialogue created during panel discussions designed to pair global talent with the brightest minds of the city, connecting those with creative potential and collaborative need.
TAC #01 Keynote Speakers:
Our inaugural conference debates, deconstructs and drives change on the subjects of
social engagement through public art and how technology can enrich the experience of art and culture.
Each speaker has been chosen for the impacts they have made on the world, the insight they can bring to our collective social understanding and the knowledge they can impart and trade with a receptive audience.

TAC #01 Venue:
Bare wood, raw potential
TAC #01 spans all three floors of Ugly Duck, a contrarily stunning 19th century warehouse located on Bermondsey’s Tanner Street. Bare wood and cavernous space enshrine a thoroughly modern event, rooting visitors in the history of London’s collaborative spirit and giving them room to breathe and develop.
The ground floor will be transformed into the TAC Exhibitions Hall, a free showcase of original artworks, prints and digital art installations to welcome the public. Each of the two floors above the hall is reserved for the conference, literal lofty ambition.
HOW TO GET THERE
It couldn’t be easier – Ugly Duck stands proud at 47-49 Tanner Street, just a 10-minute walk from London Bridge and Bermondsey underground stations. If you’re taking the bus, numbers 42, 78 and 188 stop just around the corner on Tower Bridge Road.
FOOD AND DRINK
Visitors will also be treated to food and drink from local chefs in the outdoor food court, while networking breakfasts and afternoon teas will be provided by Unity Kitchen, a social enterprise creating jobs and apprenticeships for people with disabilities.
