This annual symposium explores the place of translation in the contested spaces of memory and remembering, and its impact on society

It looks into the meaning of ‘the African body’ across time and space, and into the role of literature in cross-cultural understanding, showcasing translation as an important part of contemporary African literary practice.

Part of Africa Writes, a vibrant programme of events showcasing the best new writing from across the continent and the Diaspora.
