Bonkers Mad Hatter's Tea Party at Barts

To celebrate the Spring Bank Holiday, Chelsea’s hidden speakeasy Barts, invites you to tumble down the rabbit hole and enjoy the splendor of a decadent Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in partnership with Tres Chic on Sunday, 28th May. Guests can look forward to discovering menus inside of vintage books and a selection of dainty sandwiches, Queen of Hearts jam tarts, homemade scones and marmalade, cupcakes, macaroons and other splendid delicacies to enjoy. ‘Drink Me’ champagne cocktails will be presented in large teapots for an absolutely bonkers afternoon of fun.

The Mad Hatter’s party will carry on late into the night and Uncle Barts’ secret drinking den will be transformed into a quirky Alice in Wonderland haven with more than 500 white balloons sweeping across the ceiling and playing cards adorning the walls and tables, creating a truly magical atmosphere. Guests can raid the fancy dress box for Tweedledum and Tweedledee, Queen of Hearts, Cheshire Cat and classic Alice in Wonderland costumes, fit to take a step through the looking glass. Guests will enjoy an off-the-wall menu of marvellous Hendrick’s gin teapot cocktails for a fantastical evening that will have them grinning like a Cheshire cat.
