Chaos Theory takes their night of weirdly wonderful new down tempo sounds to one of London's best new artist community venues, New River Studios. This month sees artists blending electronic production, post-rock and brand new technology.

-----------------------
ALMA

A single launch party for the new double A-side by the two-piece. Features remixes by Maybeshewill and Message to Bears.

Having formed at the end of 2014, ALMA signed to Fierce Panda in early 2015 and proceeded to release two singles followed by their debut self-titled album on August 14th. Their beautiful ambient post-rock has grasped the heartstrings of many, and led to them recently completing an extremely successful UK tour with Nordic Giants as well as a slot at Mutations Festival alongside Lightning Bolt, Metz, John Talabot and Chelsea Wolfe. ALMA confirmed their first festival of 2016; headlining Fierce Panda’s Pandamonium Festival, and have been announced to play at ArcTanGent Festival this year.

“Building atmospheric and quietly epic soundscapes that creep up on you unannounced….like a beam of light through a dark, cold night.” - Lauren Laverne, BBC Radio 6 Music

“Atmospheric, ambient, complex and meditative.” - Clash

“Euphorically calming post-rock” - The Independent

-----------------------
worriedaboutsatan

A Manchester-based electronica band made up of Thomas Ragsdale and Gavin Miller (also know for their other project Ghosting Season), who enter their tenth year this year.

They incorporate swirling ambient melancholia, skyscraping post-rock guitar atmospherics, and pounding slo-mo techno.

Since starting life as a bedroom project back in 2006, the band has always retained a strong DIY ethos, and pride themselves on being very much a live band, rather than just another electronic project with a laptop. They’ve so far shared stages on tours and supports with a diverse array of musicians, such as Ólafur Arnalds, Clark, Dälek, Apparat, Errors, Pantha du Prince, HEALTH, Vessels, and many more.

"Atmospheric, dark house workouts that pulse with a reinvigorated energy." - FACT Magazine

"Like Burial for English-lit majors." - Pitchfork

"Creepy, organic, nearly always-tension-building electronic ambience" - Drowned in Sound

-----------------------
Chagall

A vocalist, songwriter, producer and mi.mu glover from Amsterdam, who creates and triggers rich electronic production, vocal effects and visuals by moving, bending and swaying with her mi.mu gloves (developed with Imogen Heap) whilst singing her original songs.

Having spent some time on Universal/EMI's roster, Chagall decided to quit the major label life and now prefers to make her way through Europe's independent and underground music scene.

Her live performance is unlike anything you'll have witnessed.

New River Studios is an amazing artist community that has turned its warehouse spaces into studios, galleries, venues and a veggie and vegan cafe and bar. It sells great Belgian beers, favours new and experimental art and is fully wheelchair accessible.
