Orpheus Sinfonia will star Classic Brit award winning Tasmin Little OBE and will be raising funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital. Raising funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital, the charity Hearts in Harmony is delighted to feature together renowned world artists, Classic Brit award winning Tasmin Little OBE whose 'virtuosity is breath-taking' and critically acclaimed 'dynamic' conductor Thomas Carroll, who brings such 'irresistible passion' to the concert platform. They perform with the finest young musicians of the profession in the 'superb' Orpheus Sinfonia, rapidly establishing an exciting reputation and 'delivering the highest level of excellence', and international prize-winning pianist David Malusá. With its lively character portrayals, Mozart's Don Giovanni opens the evening, before leading into a dazzling Chopin piano showpiece which is certain to stun and excite in equal measure. Tasmin Little gives a performance of Vaughan Williams much-loved and poignant The Lark Ascending - voted the nation's favourite work, and for which she has received international critical acclaim and 5-star reviews, before we draw the concert to a close with one of the all-time favourite’s Beethoven's magnificent fifth symphony. There will be a pre-concert talk at 6.30pm.
